Nelson Mandela's Youngest Daughter Passes Away

Zindzi Mandela, the youngest daughter of Nelson and Winnie Mandela, passed away Monday, July 13 at a hospital in Johannesburg. She was 59. The cause of death has not been released. She was serving as South Africa's ambassador to Denmark at the time of her passing.

"Zindzi will not only be remembered as a daughter of our struggle heroes, Tata Nelson and Mama Winnie Mandela, but as a struggle heroine in her own right. She served South Africa well," Naledi Pandor, Minister of International Relations, said in a statement.
