Missouri Eatery Named Among America's Best 'Hole-In-The-Wall Pizza Joints'

The pizza served at a restaurant in Missouri is so good that it is receiving praise for being among the best in the country. Cheapism compiled a list of the best "hole-in-the-wall pizza joints" around the U.S., and while many of the eateries can be found in pizza havens like New York City, one spot in Missouri also got a shoutout.

According to the site, Monte Bello Pizzeria in St. Louis is one of the best places in the entire country to grab a slice of incredibly tasty pizza, a longtime favorite serving incredible slices since 1950. Monte Bello Pizzeria is located at 3662 Weber Road.

"Opened in 1950, Monte Bello serves up classic St. Louis-style pizza with a think crust and Provel cheese that's cut into squares. The exterior looks a little rundown and unnerving with its awkward windows and door, but the dining room is cozy, if no-frills. The pizza is top notch though, especially with whole slices of bacon lying across it and toppings right to the edge of the crust. And they have toasted ravioli, of course."
